A rare and special appearance from yours truly

And that would be me! In the past year of lock down I've been kind of "off" writing and have been delving into art instead. Writing is such hard work and I've been feeling somewhat disillusioned by it all. At the same time, I lost my job of 12 years and although I've found another one recently, (mini-celebration dance here) although it doesn't pay as much, it pays the bills and the people I'm working with are lovely.

Alas, writing, despite everything thinking people make lots and lots, doesn't pay the bills. It's more likely to pay for an occasional coffee. But despite my disillusionment I have to keep on trying. That being the case, I've decided to put my romantic comedy, the ebook version, "Tart vs. Shortcake" on special from 4 -10 February, so keep your eyes peeled. I'll blog here when it is available for 99c in the USA and 99p in the UK.

If you have already read this book, I'd love it if you could write an honest review. It helps Amazon's algorithms.

Meanwhile, I thought I'd show you a little piccie of my art - no masterpiece for sure. I took a photo of these down at our local beach, poking out from someone's fence at Mairangi Bay, Auckland, and attempted to paint them. Very impressionistic as I'm too impatient and not knowledgeable enough to do detailed work as yet (if ever). They were peeking out over someone's fence.
